FTX Creditors to Receive $1.6 Billion Payout on September 30 in Third Major Distribution

-

FTX creditors are scheduled to receive a substantial payout of $1.6 billion on September 30, marking the third major distribution since the exchange’s collapse in 2022. This disbursement will bring cumulative recovery rates for some customers as high as 95% of their claims. The FTX Recovery Trust announced on September 19 that creditors must complete several verification steps through the official FTX Customer Portal to qualify for payments. The trust noted that processing typically requires one to three business days following successful verification. This distribution represents another significant milestone in the ongoing efforts to return funds to affected customers, demonstrating continued progress in the complex bankruptcy proceedings. The recovery process has been managed meticulously to ensure proper verification and distribution of assets to legitimate claimants.
